When You Can’t Trust a Trusted Advisor

Trusted advisors can’t sell like the rest of the business people, because trusted advisors must protect, at all costs, the trust the prospective buyer has that YOU will choose their own interests above your own. So how the sale happens matters.

As you might guess, most trusted advisors can’t be trusted! Because the minute they smell money, they put on their selling hats and try to get it.

So sales must be engineered. They must be strategic. Most of all, they must come about as the idea of the buyer.

This is all possible. But it takes a different approach than you’re going to find from your typical guru. This is a more systematic sale. One where the pieces of the sale are set out in the marketplace like clues.

You’re not pushing your prospect down a funnel, instead you’re leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for them that they will follow back to the source.

On November 19, I’m walking through my approach for doing this type of selling. I call it “Making Selling Invisible.” If you sell and you want to be trusted, this is an effective method. Not because you’ll make billions, I have no idea…but because you will have an approach to engineering sales where the trust your buyer has in you will be greater AFTER the sale than it was before.

Selling is not something dirty you have to endure, it is the art of alchemy that is waiting for you to master.

I didn’t know this at the beginning. I thought selling was beneath me. And then I saw the transformation I was able to deliver to the business of a client AFTER the sale was done and I changed my mind.

Selling changed my life and it changes the lives of my clients. When you see something you create generate $1.2 million in a weekend, you understand the power of alchemy. I haven’t been the same since that day.

But like anything, you don’t want to sell like everyone else is doing it. If you haven’t noticed, NO ONE LIKES BEING SOLD! So that’s not the smart way. The smart way is to engineer the sale, to provide all of the raw material for it to materialize. And then to watch as the magic happens.

P.S. Do What You Love and Prosper closes Friday night. If you need help starting a business doing something you love, this is a unique and powerful method for doing it you won’t find anywhere else.
