Showing Up Wrong

If you don’t show up like a leader, you’ll be treated like a vendor.

“What can I do for you today?” has a very different price tag than “Where are you trying to go?”

Vendors fill orders.
Leaders create transformation.

Vendorhood pays poorly.
Leadership has no limits on its value.

Vendors follow the rules.
Leaders set the rules.

It’s not what you do that determines which you are, it’s how you act, how you view yourself, how you hold your energy.

That means YOU control how much money you make, not the “market.” How could the market control that? If you’re doing it right, your marketing is about building the market for you. In that Universe, you’re the only option! You have a “monopoly” on the entire thing because there’s no other choice…if people want YOU.

What are the warning signs of acting like a vendor?

The biggest is the feeling that you want to get picked.

If you have that, congrats! You just identified your primary obstacle in business. YOU!

Pick yourself, then go out and attract people who want to be led to where you’re going.
