Too Many Questions For My Own Good

The older I get, the less sure I am about most things.

I’m more sure about ME. About who I am and why I’m here. But I’m less sure about everything else.

If you keep learning, keep digging, keep doing your best to expand your mind, then I’m not sure how you could end up at any place other than a pretty serious state of wonder and maybe even confusion.

Does “free will” exist? Can you really do anything you want? Or are you already on a path by virtue of your presence on this plane? Was your trajectory already set by you in some other form at some other time?

Does “free will” exist within that container?

I know what the experts say, I know what the religions say. But all of those are based on belief. You have to choose to believe. That’s fine if you do. But from my perspective, belief is the end of critical thought. It’s the act of giving your power away to something else. It’s the abdication of self-responsibility. I spent years in that state and I don’t find it particularly interesting any more. I’d just like the truth.

It’s easiest not to think about this stuff. Asking these questions generally leads to trouble in the Matrix. Certain people get “offended.” Other people think you’re crazy. It’s way smoother to just laugh at the idea of forces you can’t see, do what you’re told and live for money so you can try to be rich and famous 🙂

When it comes to business, I used to think I could start any business. I’m smart. I’m talented. I have more advantages than many people. So many choices! How do I even decide?

The problem is that I’ve tried this. I know what it feels like to start the WRONG type of business for you. There’s a good chance it won’t work out. Or even worse, it might be a huge success. So then you’ll be stuck doing something because of the money even though it doesn’t make you feel alive. Yuck.

Eventually I realized I’m only here to do certain things. My journey has been about making those things my business. It’s taken a while, and it’s ever evolving. I help other people do this too.

There is no better feeling than waking up in the morning knowing you get to spend your days doing the thing that makes you feel alive and actually getting rewarded by the world for doing it.

I wonder why they don’t teach kids how to do THIS in school? I’m pretty sure we can all take a guess!
