In the Kybalion, we find the Principle of Polarity:
“like and unlike are the same; opposites are
identical in nature, but different in degree.”
If you want to understand client attraction, THIS is the place to start. You must develop the ability to generate polarity.
Take hot and cold as an example. Hot and cold are two extremes, the two endpoints, of a single spectrum. Any point along that spectrum can be described as either a certain amount of hot or a certain amount of cold. They are the very same “thing.” They only vary in degree of the thing.
Opposite poles of the same spectrum attract, not completely different things. Heat will never exist on one end of a spectrum with abundance at the other. They are completely different materials.
What this means is that like attracts like. And the more polarity that exists between the two things of varying degrees, the stronger the attractive force is. The greater the variance in the degree of the energy, the greater the polarity, the greater the attraction.
What this means is that like attracts like. (This is why you often end up working with people that remind you of you!) And the more polarity that exists between the two things of varying degrees, the stronger the attractive force is. The greater the variance in the degree of the energy, the greater the polarity, the greater the attraction.
Think about what that means when you are “attracting” clients or customers.
If it’s happening quickly, then the polarity is strong. If it doesn’t, then the polarity is weak.
If you’ve ever had the opportunity to live a portion of your life as a weak and wimpy man like I have, you have witnessed, first hand, what happens to polarity in a relationship with a woman.
When the masculine force doesn’t show up and “wear the pants,” the feminine force is required to do that to keep things together. The feminine needs to become more masculine. The feminine needs to move down the spectrum, away from her purest expression, and mix in more of the masculine in order to maintain balance.
This decreases polarity. Attraction decreases. And you end up going through life with a roommate instead of a lover. It’s not personal, it’s just polarity.
When you’re selling things to the world, especially to people with money, it’s a smart idea to understand this Principle of Polarity and use it.
Everybody in sales eventually learns that, the best way to sell is when you don’t care if they buy. That becomes obvious. What is less obvious is the WHY.
We are offering them something they want, and we are maximizing polarity by carrying zero need for them to buy.
When they know they need it and we don’t need it, attraction is created.
When you can attract, there is little need to sell.
