The Cure For Victimhood

The Matrix has raised being a victim to the level of a virtue.

If you identify as a victim, you can spend your life blaming other people for your situation instead of doing anything productive to change it.

If they can get you to hate the very type of person you secretly want to become, they can make you completely ineffective in the world. You’ll be angry, you’ll be annoyed and you’ll have everyone else to blame.

“Rich people suck! Surely successful people screwed someone on their way up! No one should have that much. No one should have more than I do! It’s not ‘fair!’ What greedy little devils they are.”

This is how the Matrix crafts slaves without them ever realizing they are in chains.

If you adopt this approach, you will never be successful. And you will certainly never prosper.

It has nothing to do with how much money you will make or how big your business might grow. Your decision to be a victim will ensure that you never fully realize the potential you have to add value to the world.

And you will only attract other victims, who will be happy and proud to BLAME YOU when things don’t go their way.

The byproduct of accepting this type of brainwashing is that you end up secretly hating yourself too. You end up feeling like you’re never going to be able to rise above because of [insert whoever you want to blame today.] There’s no way you COULD safely rise above your current situation because then you’d be noticed by the other victims…and you would become a target.

Victimhood is a type of learned insanity that some people have been tricked into believing is the route to something good.

It is not. It will never be.

Being a victim is a state of mind. It has nothing to do with circumstance. It is a sign of whether or not someone has accepted responsibility for their own life and taken upon their own shoulders the honor of making themselves better.

Victims grant to others the power to make them feel ok. They need the validation to come from outside, inside of producing it themselves on the inside.

If you are in business with this type of situation going on inside of you, you are going to have problems.

The world does not decide your value, YOU DO. And then you think like it, speak like it and act like it. (If you need help with that, get this. 99% of the world could benefit from this.)

Do not wait for others to grant you the power that you can grant yourself.

Victimhood is alluring, the illusion is slick: “Just become one of us and you’ll have a good reason why you never have to do anything productive again…except blame someone!”

The truth is that victimhood is a dead end. It’s how you lose before you start. It is how you grant someone ELSE complete power over your life.

Your challenges are the gifts you’ve been given to grow into the person you’re meant to be. Embrace them. Lean into them. Look for the hidden lessons. And use them to become even more valuable to others.
