Remembering What’s Important

It’s important to remember when speaking to a prospective client that the primary purpose of the conversation is to figure out whether or not THEY are worthy of a portion of your life.

That might not be their purpose for the conversation, but it should definitely be yours.

This is not how the Matrix trains us to be. The Matrix trains us to care about pleasing others, about becoming whatever is required for others to accept us, like us, validate us, include us.

Yuck.

If you grew up with this training, it is easy to slip back into it. It doesn’t matter how old or experienced you are. That program can still lurk inside of your being where YOU are the small one and everyone else is the BIG one.

What does it feel like to remind yourself that it is an honor and a privilege for people to work with you? When’s the last time you thought that? Felt that?

You don’t need to have an attitude about it. You don’t even need to say anything. The KNOWING by itself will be enough to shift everything.

The first step is to remember. And then, when you forget, to remember again.
