There are really only three ways to get more money:
- Work more.
- Ask for more in exchange for the value you are currently providing to the marketplace.
- Add more value to the world.
We will ignore the first option because it is a bad choice that develops bad habits. Work has no direct correlation to success. We are trained that it does, we are shown that it does, but it does not. Value has a connection, and sometimes value requires work, but it is not required. If I’m a massage therapist and I spend 90 minutes working on someone’s leg even though they have a sore shoulder, I’ve done a lot of work but I’ve delivered little to no value.
The second option is viable, except that to choose that doesn’t necessarily fix the REAL ISSUES that caused you to undercharge for your products or services in the first place. So while it is a good place to start, it is far from a complete solution.
The final option is the only sustainable, repeatable, predictable, solution we’ve got. Value is not a function of effort, it is a function of sight, understanding, skill and precision. Creating value is powerfully done via the practice of alchemy. Alchemy is the art of adding more value without adding more effort.
The way you do that is by learning to SEE what others cannot SEE. From that perspective, you will DO things others won’t think of DOING.
The Matrix training creates a bias for hard work. It infects our minds with a connection between pain and gain. It brainwashes us into believing value is external and needs to be acquired rather than within us needing only to be expressed.
None of the Matrix lies are true unless you give your consent to make them true.
Are you aware of your power? Can you accept you have this ability?
That’s actually the hardest part of creating success…believing that it can be easy.
