Matrix Lies

As the surf hotline said yesterday, we’re in the middle of a “Summer Bender” here when it comes to waves. Usually, the summer is pretty tame. Not this week! So that means a lot of time playing surf caddy for me. I don’t actually surf (I’d prefer to get punched in the face, that I know what to do with), but my wife is addicted loves it.

This is an excellent trade for me because long, relatively uninterrupted blocks of time to sit and stare at nature is one of the most effective ways for generating good ideas I’ve ever discovered.

The Matrix would say I’m doing “nothing,” because the Matrix wants you to be a slave to DOING instead of BEING.

When you know how to BE, you can open up the connection between yourself and the force that knows a lot more than you do, about everything!

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever learned in business is to give up thinking I know how it should go. That is how we create LIMITS on our success when there really don’t need to be any limits.

Someone knows how it should go, some part of you, or some part of you that is God or whatever you want to call that force that’s the reason we’re all here. How about letting that force do the driving and you do the looking?

This isn’t a passive state, it’s very active. But it’s active in the BEING department not in the monkey mind department.

There’s a path right in front of you, waiting for you to take it. If you think too much, try too hard, struggle to figure it out, you tend to miss the path. You can always hop back on it, anytime you choose.

But it doesn’t require effort, it requires surrender. The Matrix says that’s weak. Can you see how that’s a lie?
