Looking For Easy Street

The quickest way to be a struggling genius is to offer something amazing to the world that no one wants.

The challenge in business, according to me, is finding the intersection between what you’re here to do on this plane and what the world wants.

This intersection is where you find Easy Street.

Despite the name, it’s not always so easy to find!

This is why most businesses don’t succeed. Because without finding that intersection, every day is an uphill climb.

This is where deciding to serve comes into the equation.

The service isn’t doing the work. The service is figuring out how to package the work in a way that the world sees it as an obvious solution to a problem they want solved.

If you can do that, people buy. Because humans always find a way to do what they want.

The bad news is that this might take a while. The good news is that you only fail if you quit.

The helpful part is that WHO YOU ARE is the primary constraint. You’re not going to change that. So you’re looking for a way to BE YOU, for a certain group of people, who want a particular problem to be solved via your talents, gifts, products and services.

That’s what business is. That’s how you transform who you are being into money.
