How to Improve Your Business

The way you improve your business is to work on improving you.

This should be obvious to anyone who’s been doing this for more than a year.

Your mindset, your outlook on the world, your ability to NOT be controlled by your emotions, the skill you have at imagining your future, the command you have over the written word, the way you show up in the world, your ability to attract attention, the quality of your relationship with money, the alignment you have between what you do and what makes you feel alive, the clarity you have about the way forward…

…it all comes back to YOU. How good a version of YOU are you BEING at any one moment?

I didn’t know this when I started. I thought I had to load up on strategies and tactics that were “working” so that I could experience the same success I saw other people having.

This turned out, not only to be a load of B.S., but to be the exactly wrong direction for me to go. When this is your route, you end up trying to be like someone else.

If you want to confuse the market, this is the way to do it!

It doesn’t matter what your business is, YOU are the value. And that means you are the best investment there is.

Are you showing that to the world? Are you explaining yourself powerfully with big ideas? Have you successfully sidestepped the mind programs that are designed to keep you small? Are you a slave to money? Are you scared of holding it? Do you understand that what you carry on the inside is what you will live on the outside? Have you created a way to attract the amount of attention you want from your prospective clients? Have you built the systems that bring buyers to you, pre-sold? Are you building the right business for you?

It sounds like a lot of work to answer all of these questions. And it is. But the good news is that it’s all under your control. It’s no accident whether or not you realize your potential in business, it’s just a choice you make. And once you make it, the only thing you have to do is NEVER QUIT.

Business is the practice of alchemy. You take value in one form that is of little use to YOU and you transform it into a form of value (money!) you can use to live life as you choose.

If I ever don’t get excited by watching that happen, I imagine that will be the day I stop playing.

But it hasn’t happened yet…
