Jim Rohn is known for saying that “you are the average of the five people around you.” When you hear that, it’s easy to think that, by changing those people, you can change you.
This is wrong.
Those people aren’t affecting you, they are reflecting you. You don’t change your face by messing with the reflection in the mirror, you have to make change at the source.
YOU ARE THE SOURCE. Change YOU. Change EVERYTHING.
When I started in business, I attracted clients who shared my conditioning. That means I tended to attract folks who had money issues, who had little understanding of their self worth, who were scared, who didn’t get how to use their power to achieve success.
Sounds like a really great crowd! And it was. It showed me every part of myself that was in need of an upgrade to create success. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the memo!
Instead, I used the reflection to create comfort. It’s nice being around people who share the same general vibration you’re emitting. Even if it’s the vibration of struggle, you can still feel “at home.”
The clients you have right now are a perfect reflection of where you’re at. If you want better clients, make a better you. Resolve the junk you’ve been carrying around, clear your mind so that it can clarify the outcome you desire. Release your control of the “HOW it’s going to happen” and pay attention to the magical response of the world to your changing vibration.
All those years I thought that “clients sucked” when the truth was it was just me.
Don’t blame your surroundings, that is giving “out there” far too much power. Use what you’ve created, the reflection you currently see, as a guide to transform yourself into something better.
That’s how you paint a masterpiece.
