I gave up trying to get money the way my brain wanted to do it. Instead, I surrendered to the way it flows to me naturally.
I knew about this a long time ago. But my ego wanted something different. It wanted a crowd. It wanted a big list. It wanted an inbox full of orders. It wanted a successful launch baby!
I spent a good 16 years trying that. It never worked. I used to care why. I made up a lot of stories. I can tell you any one of them that you want to hear. I’m not sure any are true though.
All I know is that I’m not wired to receive money that way, a little bit from a lot of places.
I’m wired for the opposite.
This is a problem if you are conditioned to seek validation and being liked by people.
Because in a model like the one I’ve got, there aren’t many people!
But I knew years ago that it is much easier for me to attract $100,000 from a single client than it is to attract $500 from 200 people.
But I AM STUBBORN. So it took the better part of two decades before I made an agreement with the Universe. It is a one-way agreement. I said, “OK, I give up. I’ll do it your way.”
In the world of business building, it’s easy to get stuck in an “in to out” orientation. Where you think everything has to come from YOU if you want to accomplish something or be successful.
But the Universe is involved. Things are already in motion. You’re wired to interact with that in specific ways.
Success might just be trying to find its way IN to your life. You have the power to block it. But I wouldn’t recommend it.
So look for clues. Look for how it’s flowing naturally. Look for signs of where the abundance flows for you and PUT YOURSELF IN THE MIDDLE.
You don’t have to be a hero. Sometimes you just have to take a step to the left or to the right to receive what the Universe is trying to send you.
