Growing a Client

Everyone wants clients fast, what if you grow clients slowly?

The only thing worse than having no clients is having the wrong clients. And it’s easy to attract those when you’re in a rush to hear someone say, “Yes.”

When it’s the right fit, everything is better. Fees are better, terms are better, experience is better, results are better.

The media platform method of client attraction is about slow and better.

Not only does a complete lack of urgency to “close” anyone make you more attractive, it provides the space required for you to stop “selling” and watch as the prospects sell themselves.

The media platform is not “content.” “Content” is something you make to fill a hole. What’s coming out of a media platform is designed to provide demonstration. To tell a story. To show the world what it’s like to be on the journey on which you guide clients.

The media platform is nurturing the “ground” in which the clients grow. Just like an orchard of fruit trees, the magic takes time. It’s not a bug in the system, it’s a feature.

Farmers don’t “close” an apple tree so they can pay their bills. They provide care, they nurture, they serve FIRST. Then the fruit appears.

This is the natural order, this is the process you want to emulate. If you want to be memorable, incomparable, unlike anything your prospects have experienced, stop viewing them as potential sales and start viewing them as human relationships you are building one day at a time.

Allow the result to happen, don’t force it to happen.
