The most powerful way to attract clients is to learn to love yourself.
They don’t write business books about this because very few people have the guts to say the obvious things.
The validation and acceptance you get from others is fake and fleeting. It’s not the real thing. The real thing can only come from you.
No one teaches us how to do this. We must teach ourselves.
If you learn how to START from that position, with that hole inside of you already FILLED, then you can focus on the real reason for the work, which is solving someone else’s problem.
If you can’t give that love to yourself, you will always be a slave. You will search for it from others, you will ride the emotional roller coaster of ups and downs depending on whether or not you find it, how long it sticks around, and how it leaves.
“Jason, this is business. This has nothing to do with love!”
That’s funny. Where do we learn to believe lies like this? Who is responsible for filling our minds with half truths that keep us small?
There are lots of answers to those questions. The end result is the same:
Millions of people searching for things they must learn to give themselves.
If you want freedom, money isn’t it. LOVE IS.
Learn to give it to yourself. Learn to stop needing it from others. It will probably show up even so. If it does, be grateful, give thanks and continue on your way.
