Finding Your Point of Power

I waited a long time for the world to recognize my brilliance.

When I mostly worked with clients, this was always a problem.

Because that’s not how human nature works.

They usually recognized it at the beginning. But even if Jesus showed up to work with you, human nature dictates, eventually, you’d take him for granted and start asking him to run for coffee.

Whatever it is you find in your environment, no matter how “amazing” it is…eventually, it will become your NORMAL.

So for me to show up expecting something different was a problem.

Expecting a specific result and reacting like an immature child when it doesn’t show up is a huge barrier to success in business.

The response of the world is not under your ultimate control. How you receive that response IS.

So your point of power isn’t found in creating the desired result, it is found in refining the state of the creator and your ability to receive the world’s response without resistance.

This brings us to one of the worst parts of becoming self-responsible. That is when you realize all of the problems you have in your business (and your life) are your responsibility. Even the ones you didn’t create.

If you ever want to go broke, write a book telling the world something like that. They’ll tune you out faster than a bad rerun on TV. And yet, as far as I know, acknowledging this truth and living it is the only chance a human has at claiming their own power.

So if you’re not happy, content, excited, energized, focused, etc., living your dream, the problem isn’t the problem, the problem is you.

This is amazing news!

Because that means you can do something about this! In fact, you are the only one who can! You are the only one qualified to be the solution to every problem you have.

You are responsible for creating the business you want to grow.

You are responsible for creating the life you want to live.

If you don’t like something, change it. If you’re missing something in your business or life, build it. If you’ve already got something that’s “broken,” fix it. If it’s time for something you already have to go, throw it away.

The point of power to focus on is everything you control. Instead of waiting for the world to recognize your brilliance, what would happen if you just focused on living it?
