The Matrix isn’t stupid.
It’s neutralizing the decentralizing power of the web by re-centralizing attention collection into a few distinct places.
This means there’s now not enough attention to go around. Which is why it’s so much more difficult to find the attention you want.
What’s the problem?
The Matrix makes you think the problem is X, when the problem is really Y. So everyone starts chasing attention on social media because that’s the problem, right? The Matrix is fine with you believing that the problem is that you need attention and don’t have enough.
The real problem is that humans are allowing borgs to become gatekeepers in the relationships they build with other humans.
“I love Gmail because it’s FREE…” has led to Gmail now TELLING YOU what you are going to see and not see. It’s happened in so many places. This is not an accident. This is the plan.
What is the solution? Using your brain is the solution. Building direct connections with other humans is the solution. Telling the middle-men (and middle-women!) to get out of your life is the solution. Refusing to feed the beast is the solution. Understanding that SMALL is the new BIG is the solution (provided you change the numbers of your business to make that work.) Maybe get an email address that isn’t supplied by a corporation that monetizes YOUR life force like a slave?
Begging for attention from gatekeepers is not a solution, it is prison. Humans have been doing it for so long they’ve forgotten. For some reason, I was born with a genetic defect that makes me want to puke when I think of doing that.
When in doubt, DON’T play the game that’s been set out before you by someone else. You don’t even know who created that game and you have no idea what they are truly trying to create with it.
Stepping onto a playing field like that makes you a PAWN.
Play a game you make. That’s the work. To figure out what that is and how it operates.
The people are still out there. More people than ever! They’re just waiting to discover that you have a solution to their problem.
What are you willing to do to find them and bring them to you?
