Almost no one will pay you $7,000 for an hour’s work.
So the only way you can charge $7,000 per hour is by never again charging for your time.
Charging for your time is a prison. Only you have the key.
No one can force you to change your mind about this. No one can rationalize why it’s self-defeating to attach dollar signs to minutes of your life. No one can provide the emotional fortitude it takes to jettison the mind prisons of others and push yourself away from the docks towards freedom.
This is a decision you have to make all by yourself. Is it scary? I don’t know. But who cares?
No one can possibly pay you enough to truly compensate you for what your time, a portion of your LIFE, is worth.
No one wakes up and says they’d like to buy someone’s time today. So why not just sell something people actually want?
When you do that, you don’t have an “hourly rate,” you simply have results and the amount of exchange required to create them.
For the most part, no one will hire you at $7,000 an hour. But depending on what you do, it’s entirely possible to generate $7,000 (or more) in an hour or less of your time.
You don’t have to play by the rules of business to succeed, you have to make them up.
