You were trained to act like someone you are not.
When you resist this training, you feel bad. That might come in the form of fear, shame, guilt, or something else that’s not fun to experience.
This is how you were conditioned to play small. Sane people call it emotional and psychological manipulation and abuse.
This is how they built the invisible prison you live in.
While you might not be able to see the bars, you can feel them. You can feel there’s an obstacle keeping you from what’s on the other side.
This is how you know you’re still “on the inside.”
Because you can FEEL IT. You can feel there’s more. You can feel you’re not fully being who you’re here to be.
If you feed this conditioning with your awareness, with your life force, it is strengthened. If you give it your anger, annoyance, frustration, overwhelm, sadness or any other source of energy, it gets bigger. Anything you feed grows.
The solution isn’t to push this away or resist, it’s to bring it closer until you re-integrate the energy into your being.
There are plenty of ways to do this. One very simple way is to find something that matters MORE to you than the conditioning does.
What do you care about MORE than the fear you feel when you imagine playing BIG?
Focus on that. Allow that to reorient the energy, to transform it from invisible bars into fuel you can use on your journey.
Care about something. Care about someone. Care about going somewhere.
It doesn’t matter which. It’s just a simple method for focusing your power in a way that makes “prison bars” meaningless.
