Business isn’t the right word to describe what I do.
There are pretty specific rules in business. And I don’t follow many of them, because I think they’re short-sighted, fear-based and lead people away from their own power.
You could call what I do trying to be useful. That’s probably a better description. But the Matrix doesn’t always reward this act with money. And in business, money is supposed to be what we’re doing.
The Matrix doesn’t recognize any form of abundance that isn’t money. I suppose the accountants recognize “Goodwill” and put it on a balance sheet, but I’m not sure a lot of decisions are made because of that.
When’s the last time you saw a guru launch a “Creating Goodwill With Your Clients and Customers” course? It’s not going to happen.
You could call what I do ART, except I’m only really making it for other people. If they weren’t around, I wouldn’t make it for me. If you weren’t reading this, I wouldn’t write it. I’d just drink coffee.
Even without a name for it, I know what this path feels like. It feels like alchemy. It really feels like magic where the instruction book for how to do the trick is missing.
This feels like the art of transforming BEINGNESS into RESOURCES. The Matrix doesn’t care about who you are BEING. It only tells you to be someone so you can get something.
This path I’m talking about is BEING someone so you can give something. The getting takes care of itself. Or it doesn’t. That’s the rub. You don’t always get what you want when you walk this path, you get something far more important.
You get meaning. And often, you get a lot of other things. But not always in the form you want. Dictating to the Universe how you want value returned is a path to misery.
The Matrix focuses you myopically on WHAT YOU DO.
This is a trap. That’s not where the magic is. That’s not where the money is.
The money is in YOU. It’s just not in a form that we’re taught to recognize.
Do the work to SEE WHO YOU ARE, to understand the VALUE IN THAT, then you can SHARE it.
The way you share it is to show it. Make stuff. Help people. Get your ideas moving into the world. Focus your being on becoming the solution to other people’s problems. You can’t really use words to do this completely. You can’t tell someone who you are being. It doesn’t have the same impact as seeing it.
The cool part about this path is that you make it up for yourself. No one has ever walked it before in exactly the same way you do it.
Some people might consider that scary. I consider it a reason for getting up in the morning.
