If you don’t know who you are, if you don’t stay true to that, it doesn’t matter what business you choose. The result will be the same. Even if you make a billion dollars.
You will feel empty. Have fun with the money. It will be meaningless.
They don’t tell you this at the business seminars because the masses aren’t interested in the truth. They won’t pay for it because it is full of stuff they don’t want to hear.
But once you’ve been around for a while, you lose patience with the folks who sell to sheep. (“Sheep” are why the Renegade Letter exists…thanks guys!) The lies get a little old. The illusions become silly. It’s sad to watch.
No you CAN’T just cut and paste your way to success. No, A.I. won’t be your daddy and figure it out for you with the new model, FancyPants 5.6. No, not everyone is even here to “succeed.” What does succeed even mean? You won’t find one definition… because succeeding is a feeling not a set of circumstances. Who wants to hear that? Very few.
So what’s left?
You. And what you want. And a simple understanding that the best way to get what you want on this plane is to help other people get what they want.
This is not complicated. But it has to sound complicated, otherwise you won’t spend all that money with the people who pretend to have the answers.
They’re just as lost as anyone. Because they’re still looking for their answers “out there.” These are the kind of guys who are hyping A.I. right now when just a few years ago they were in the supplement business.
I can play on the fringes of those crowds. I know how to get invited to the parties. But to want their lives? No thanks.
The minute you stop comparing yourself, all the noise goes away. In that silence you get to ask the same question:
What do I want?
And then you get to make the choice. Either you go get that thing. Or you make an excuse about why you can’t, or shouldn’t or won’t.
No one cares which you choose. NO one except your spouse. And your children. And all the people who truly care about you.
Business is a journey, not an event. The goal isn’t just to get something. The goal is to take the journey of becoming, all the steps between who you are right now and what version of yourself you have to become to get what you want. This is a journey that makes life worth living.
Make a billion dollars if you can. That’s great. Congratulations! Just don’t betray yourself to do it.
