You can completely shift your perception of selling if you stop thinking of it as something you do to someone and start thinking of it as something a prospect does to himself.
Humans are WIRED to move to what they want. You don’t have to push. So if you’ve been led to believe that is what selling is about, you’ve been given some bad information.
Buying is a natural response to a human seeing something he wants, that he can pay for, that he would like now and not tomorrow.
Can you engineer a scenario where that can happen so that you can be richly rewarded for solving the problems of others?
The good part about this is that it shifts your focus from “making sales” to engineering a system that creates them. These are very different vibes. The first is the vibration of LACK, which every human finds repelling. The second vibration is one of strategic mastery, something people find attractive on an energetic level.
Be the flower that attracts the bee, not the hyena that chases anything and everything.
The “work” is to clear the way between where they’re at and where they could be. When you do that well, the right people see that the path to what they want goes right through YOU.
This doesn’t involve changing them, it involves allowing them to change themselves. The media platform plays a big part in this approach. You’re constantly “planting” seeds that remove obstacles keeping a prospect from deciding whether or not they belong in your world.
But the most important part is the mindset shift, the energetic transformation. Giving up the NEED. Giving up the LACK. Choosing NOT to practice the “I gotta get the sale” vibe the Matrix drills into your head as a requirement for success.
Those vibrations don’t get you more sales, they make you buy more books about selling because you think there’s a selling technique you don’t know.
